Thank you to all of our teams, volunteers, parents, staff members, Affiliate and Regional Directors, and supporters for helping to make this year’s Global Finals tournament our most successful virtual event to date and one that truly amplified the spirit of Destination Imagination.
This year, we had 935 teams from 14 countries compete in Global Finals! And though we wished it could have been in person, we hope you had a tremendous time solving a new Challenge, pin trading and connecting with other teams, and most of all—watching Team Presentations from all over the world. The creativity and innovation displayed by our Global Finals teams was nothing short of extraordinary and we were thrilled to have had the ability to stream team solutions this year.
We put together a YouTube playlist featuring some of our winning teams (ranging from Elementary to University level) and encourage you to watch some of these outstanding solutions. And if you’re wondering what some of this year’s Fast Flex Challenge solutions looked like, you can watch a few of our high-scoring Fast Flex solutions here.
Thank you again to our DI family for making Global Finals 2021 such an incredibly special and memorable event. And huge thanks to singer and songwriter Rachel Hale (who is also a DI alumna! ) for taking some of our teams on a creative journey through music and performance. You can check out some of our Destination Imagination teams featured in her “Promised Land” music video below.
We’ll see you in just a few weeks for a brand-new, creative adventure! Check out what’s in store for next season’s Challenge Experience and purchase your Team Number today so you’re ready to go. Our in-person Challenge Experience begins on September 1, and our Virtual Experience (The Digital Open) starts October 1.
As always…stay healthy and stay creative.
