How To Get Nike SNKRS Shipped To Canada | Yore Oyster
Shipping items you buy from SNKRS to Canada used to be a hassle, but not anymore. This post lays out a dead-simple process for getting your order from SNKRS—or any other retailer that doesn’t ship to Canada—shipped right to your doorstep in Canada with zero trouble and minimal fees.
SNKRS is an arm of where sneakerheads can buy Nike’s most highly coveted new drops. Launched in the U. S. in 2015, Canadian shoppers have been praying for a Canadian SNKRS equivalent ever since. SNKRS does drop a limited number of its sneakers in Canada, but the selection is poor and competition is high. That has many Canadian consumers (like me) seeking alternative ways of getting their favorite sneaks north of the border.
Nike accepts returns within 30 days of purchase for any reason, even if you’ve worn the shoes. This applies to Nike SNKRS orders as well. Nike also accepts returns beyond 30 days if the shoes are still unworn and unwashed.
Does SNKRS Ship To Canada?
No, SNKRS does not ship to Canada, but I’ve designed a process for getting any SNKRS order shipped to Canada with zero headaches.
It involves using a package forwarder: a warehouse in the United States that will accept your SNKRS order and forward it on to you in Canada.
Here’s the exact process, explained step-by-step.
How To Get SNKRS Orders Shipped To Canada
Step 1: Choose A Package Forwarder
Choosing the right package forwarder is a big deal, because that decision will determine how quickly you receive your order, and how much you have to pay for the service. I spent many hours doing some deep research on eight different package forwarders, scoring each of them on a wide variety of relevant metrics. Here are five of the main metrics I looked at:
Service Fees: How much do they charge to provide their core service of accepting and shipping packages, plus ancillary services such as long-term storage, re-packing, package consolidation, and nthly/Annual Fees: How much do they charge in monthly or annual fees, if at icing Transparency: How much do I know about their pricing structure before sending my order to their How quickly will they process my stomer Service: How satisfied are other users with their service, and how thoroughly/quickly do they respond to my questions.
After reviewing the data I collected on these and other metrics, it became clear to me that Planet Express was the best choice. Their customer service team responded to my emails quickly and thoroughly, they have thousands of 5-star reviews online, and their fees were consistently lower than all of the other package forwarders I looked at.

Earn up to 40, 000 Aeroplan Miles (valued at $800 – $1, 200) with the American Express Aeroplan Card, our #1-rated card in Includes Buddy Pass.
Here are a few other things I like about Planet Express:
Planet Express has a tax-free warehouse in Oregon, so you can avoid paying sales tax on your Express will consolidate multiple packages into a single box, significantly reducing shipping costs when you make multiple Express sends you free photos of your package as soon as it arrives at their Express offers extremely cheap storage for your packages. Every package receives 10 days of free storage, but after that, Planet Express only charges one cent per pound per day. That means storing a 1-lb package in their warehouse for a month only costs $0. 30!
Step 2: Ship Your Order To Planet Express
As soon as you’ve signed up for Planet Express, you’ll receive a unique mailing address at their warehouse. Once you decide on the items you want to buy, just enter your Planet Express mailing address instead of your home mailing address and you’re all set.
If you’re not able to enter your home address as your credit card billing address, you should also be able to use Planet Express’ warehouse address without any issues.
Step 3: Forward Your Package
As soon as your order arrives at Planet Express’ warehouse, they’ll send you photos of the package to let you know it’s arrived. You’ll also be given a series of shipping options to choose from. I find that there’s generally at least 4 shipping options corresponding to 4 different price-speed combinations. Sometimes there can be as many as 10 or more shipping options—it just depends on the weight, size and value of your package.
Four of the shipping options I was presented with for my order. There were much faster shipping options available as well, but I chose a slower, cheaper option, since I wasn’t in a rush.
Here’s a shipping calculator comparing three different package forwarders: Traveling Mailbox, US Global Mail, and Planet Express. In my experience, the prices shown below are generally higher than what I’ve actually paid, since most retailers ship their products in smaller packaging than you’d expect.
My Personal Experience
I’ve used Planet Express more than a dozen times to ship packages to different parts of the world, and the experience has always been very smooth. Here’s how things went the last time I did it.
First, I decided what I wanted to buy. To be honest, this might be the hardest part of the entire process.
Second, I had my order sent to my unique address at the tax-free Planet Express warehouse in Oregon. Less than 48 hours later, I received an email from Planet Express letting me know that it had arrived. Some of the other package forwarders I tested took 2-3 days just to process my incoming packages (not including the shipping time), so this is extremely quick.
Third, I filled in Planet Express’ super-easy customs declaration form with the four pieces of information required:
The item being shippedThe number of items being shippedThe value of the itemWhether the item contains batteries
Fourth, I chose the shipping option I wanted from a list of eight. Prices ranged from $6-$35 USD, plus insurance at an additional $2 USD, so I chose the cheapest one ($8 USD, including the insurance), and I was done. My package was shipped out later that same day, and when it arrived, everything was in perfect shape.
The Costs (Customs & Duties)
In my experience, the price I paid ($6 USD + $2 USD in insurance) is pretty standard for shipping packages from Planet Express to Canada. You also won’t need to pay any customs or duties on your imports thanks to the new United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) trade deal that came into effect on July 1, 2020, which allows Canadians to import up to $150 CAD worth of goods from the US or Mexico without paying any customs or duties. This is a huge jump up from the previous threshold ($20 CAD), and means you probably won’t have to pay any customs or duties on any of your imports moving ahead.
If your purchase is worth more than $150 CAD, this table shows the customs duty you will have to pay.

In SummaryOverall, getting SNKRS items shipped to Canada is extremely easy and smooth. The costs are low, and in my experience you’ll actually end up saving money, since buying direct from SNKRS is often cheaper than buying from other comparable retailers in Canada. If you’re buying from SNKRS, or any other retailer that doesn’t ship to Canada, I’m confident this method will serve you well.

Nike’s SNKRS app is fueling its digital business – Quartz
When Nike’s SNKRS app trips up, rabid sneaker fans go crazy. The app is where many head for a chance to get Nike limited releases and special products. The outrage over technical glitches that kill those chances can spill over into complaints and memes on Twitter and elsewhere. It happened during last year’s launch of a shoe in collaboration with fashion label Off-White and again in May with the drop of a shoe with rapper Travis a funny way, it’s a sign of the success Nike has had drawing shoppers to the limited releases that happen through SNKRS are just a portion of Nike’s business—which also depends on selling giant volumes of mass-market shoes—the app has become an important part of the company’s thriving digital sales. (The brand’s other app, just called “Nike, ” is more like a general e-commerce portal. )Discussing earnings for the full fiscal year, CEO Mark Parker told investors yesterday that SNKRS acquired more new members than any other digital channel for Nike. He added, “SNKRS more than doubled its business, doubled its number of monthly active users, and now accounts for roughly 20% of our overall digital business. ” That business grew 35% overall in the year, the company ’s become Nike’s latest way to game supply and demand of hyped products. SNKRS keeps shoppers hungry by sending out regular push notifications about drops every week. When consumers inevitably flood the app for the release, many take an L, walking away empty handed. A share of those who do get the shoes never wear them. Instead, they immediately resell them for multiples of what they paid (Quartz member exclusive), fueling the burgeoning resale Nike could release more shoes and collect more money if it wanted, it generally chooses not to. That keeps demand high. On the investor call, one analyst asked if Nike believes it can keep the products released through SNKRS special as it continues to scale it. In reply, CFO Andy Campion said, “we still supply a very small percent of the demand that we’re seeing. ”Since the app launched in 2015, the volume of sales happening through it has exploded. Campion noted that SNKRS did less than $70 million in sales in fiscal 2016. Based on its performance in the past quarter, it’s on pace for annual sales of more than $750 ’s a fraction of the $39. 1 billion in sales Nike recorded in the fiscal year, but a vital one, reflecting Nike’s connection to a loyal, passionate fanbase. Parker pointed out that many users check SNKRS daily, saying it will continue to evolve to be a “have to check back in, day-to-day kind of experience. ” It also feeds Nike data. One shoe the brand launched this year was based on SNKRS data and analytics relative to New York’s Dominican community, Campion plans to increase SNKRS launches of apparel and items for women, and has already expanded it to 22 other countries in the past couple years—including China, where Nike said it helped fuel the company’s jump in digital sales this quarter.
Nike Says Bots Will Not Help Anyone Get Exclusive Access to SNKRS
Just last month, Nike revealed that the SNKRS app would be receiving an update for its Exclusive Access launch model coming this Summer 2021. The brand recently shared additional details that showed users how they can receive access on Nike’s most coveted drops outside of the regular launch dates.
The brand emphasized that its goal is still to provide its members with access to the most exclusive products. However, content engagement is a must in order to be notified of any upcoming drops. Users are encouraged to tune into SNKRS Live sessions as ways that will help them increase their chances of gaining exclusive access.
Nike also confirmed that bots will not do anything to help users get greater chances. Using a bot to set up multiple accounts or tap on buttons will in fact get the users blocked from launch access. It is to be acknowledged that it is not something new for Nike to give its members Exclusive Access. The brand reminds fans that those who are lucky enough to receive exclusive access still might not be able to purchase the shoe in their preferred size due to limited releases.
The Swoosh brand recently confirmed that Virgil Abloh‘s upcoming 50-sneaker Off-White x Dunk collection will exclusively drop through SNKRS.
