Hello! I would like to know if there’s a “professional” way to rotate public IP on a network (with a VPN or not). following the request of an end-user i made an hosted network with a VPN on Windows 7 (the user have to connect 20-50 device at the same time for configuration each 10 minutes so windows 10 couldn’t do that) I would like to know if someone is aware of a solution be it configuring a router or a server like openVPN but:-It can’t be the same rotation of IP (we need to have a different IP for each batch of configuration)-The IP can’t be an already used IP ( or rotate between 80-100 IPs)-IP’s rotate automatically if possible (each 5-10 minutes)i searched a long time but i don’t see any solution anyone got a lead for making a “clean” setup of this i would be very in advance.

You could use DDNS, setup the vpn using the fqdn of the ddns and then just rotate the ip on the host arbitrarily, ddns will update the IP to the fqdn and now vpn is using a different sounds like the OP is activating phones to generate traffic. From my understanding, most pay-for-clicks/users/traffic shops do this with cheap androids vs other types of devices. I’m assuming the activation on different IPs is to make sure they don’t get flagged for what they’re doing, since it’s questionable practice and the customers don’t want the artificial traffic/user numbers questioned.

we need to activate some device for a partner (more than a thousand) but we can’t use the same IP due to their policy but all the device are setup and stored at the same place(we can’t setup them in another place for security and policy reason too). Idealy we would like to use 10 device per IP but it’s gonna be difficult it seems haha. we’re gonna use a VPN for that like IPVanish which use a lot of public adress so i can’t estimate how many we have but without VPN only 1…

we activate the devices by batch of 20-30 devices, we don’t need an unique adress for each device but for the least possible. I was planning to use a vpn provider which can change your IP regulary, currently we use IPVanish on the desktop computer which share his connection. in this one you have a button for changing ip automaticaly.

no it’s not about licencing sadly, it’s more like people using a proxy with ip rotation for crawling website for not being banned when visiting a website to their policy they don’t allow us to activate more than a certain number of device on the same ip or it’s blocked(and they won’t change it for us) problem with proxy is that i don’t know if i can setup it like a VPN for a (sub)network and the process for activating a device don’t allow us to configure the proxy on each device.

Can I ask what licences you’re trying to activate here? Why can’t the licensing server have it’s limits increased?

Yeah; if you could say what devices you’re trying to activate, someone may have experience with them. It seems very odd that a company would restrict a customer to ten devices…

it’s just activating a smartphone without any software but the OS. But for some reasons the constructor doesn’t want us to activate more than a certain number on the same IP (maybe for analytic sake). my english is bad so maybe i said it wrongly. it’s not that we can’t activate it but the company don’t want us to do that but as the reason why i don’t know much

I tried to look up on google but i haven’t found any interesting setup. I can’t use a proxy because it’s not browser-based and most of router don’t seem to answer my need correctly, i heard of pfsense or
DD-WRT but i don’t think this meet my requirement of rotation.
