Manage and switch between multiple proxies quickly & easily.
Chromium Extension
The project is available as a Chromium Extension.
You can try it on Chrome Web Store,
or grab a packaged extension file (CRX) for offline installation on the Releases page.

Firefox Addon (Experimental)
There is also an experimental WebExtension port, which allows installing in
Firefox Nightly Version >= 56.
Since the WebExtensions API is still under heavy development on Mozilla’s side,
we strongly recommended using the Nightly channel (>= 56. 0) and update frequently.
The Developer Edition and Beta channels will not receive fixes as often and
therefore unsupported by SwitchyOmega. Some users report that it works with the
Firefox Developer Edition (>= 55) as well, but we strongly advise against doing
so. It won’t work at all in Firefox 54 Stable.
You can try it on Mozilla Add-ons,
or grab a packaged extension file (XPI) for offline installation on the Releases page.
Please make sure that you are using the latest Nightly build before you
report issues.
Build number AND build date should be mentioned somewhere in the issue.
NOTE: PAC Profiles DO NOT work on Firefox due to AMO review policies. We will see what we can do.
Development status
PAC generator
This project contains a PAC generating module called omega-pac, which handles
the profiles model and compile profiles into PAC scripts. This module is standalone
and can be published to npm when the documentation is ready.
Options manager
The folder omega-target contains browser-independent logic for managing the
options and applying profiles. Every public method is well documented in the comments.
Functions related to browser are not included, and shall be implemented in subclasses
of the omega-target classes.
omega-web is a web-based configuration interface for various options and profiles.
The interface works great with omega-target as the back-end.
omega-web alone is incomplete and requires a file named
containing an angular module omegaTarget. The module contains browser-dependent
code to communicate with omega-target back-end, and other code retrieving
browser-related state and information.
See the omega-target-chromium-extension/ file for an
example of such module.
Targets
The omega-target-* folders should contain environment-dependent code such as
browser API calls.
Each target folder should contain an extended OmegaTarget object, which
contains subclasses of the abstract base classes like Options. The classes
contains implementation of the abstract methods, and can override other methods
at will.
A target can copy the files in omega-web into its build to provide a web-based
configuration interface. If so, the target must provide the
file as described in the Options manager section.
Additionally, each target can contain other files and resources required for the
target, such as background pages and extension manifests.
For now, only one target has been implemented: The WebExtension target.
This target allows the project to be used as a Chromium extension in most
Chromium-based browsers and also as a Firefox Addon as mentioned above.

Building the project
SwitchyOmega has migrated to use npm and grunt for building. Please note that
npm 2. x is required for this project.
To build the project:
# Install node and npm first (make sure npm –version > 2. 0), then:
sudo npm install -g grunt-cli@1. 2. 0 bower
# In the project folder:
cd omega-build
npm run deps # This runs npm install in every module.
npm run dev # This runs npm link to aid local development.
# Note: the previous command may require sudo in some environments.
# The modules are now working. We can build now:
grunt
# After building, a folder will be generated:
cd.. # Return to project root.
ls omega-chromium-extension/build/
# The folder above can be loaded as an unpacked extension in Chromium now.
To enable grunt watch, run grunt watch once in the omega-build directory.
This will effectively run grunt watch in every module in this project.

What is SwitchyOmega?

How to use proxies with SwitchyOmega
To start using proxies with SwitchyOmega, you will need to get the plugin first:

Once you install it on your preferred browser, you will need to:
Open SwitchyOmega’s Options.
Then click on New profile.
Type in a Profile name. Choose Proxy Profile type and click Create.
Change the protocol to HTTP. Under Server, enter the code of one of the proxies you have purchased from us. Under Port, add 60000 if you are using username:password authentication method ( 65432 if you are using whitelisted IPs), click the lock button on the right.
After that, fill in your Username and Password and click Save changes. (If you have whitelisted your IP, you do not need to do this step at all. )
Click on Apply changes.
For the final step, click on the SwitchyOmega icon and choose your newly configured proxy. And that is it

Google Chrome is a fast and popular browser. However, some users need more-the ability to change IP address, access to blocked resources, Etc. all this can be a proxy technology, which is compatible with modern browsers. The proxy SwitchyOmega extension is designed specifically for Chrome, which optimizes the use of proxy servers in this program.
In this article, you will learn how to configure and work effectively with this extension.
Google Chrome and Proxy Technology
Proxy-intermediary between the desired site and the user. You can broadcast it by a citizen of another country so you can see the resources blocked for your country. There are still many useful proxy features, all available on Google Chrome
In the Google Chrome configuration, there is an element of the system, where “proxy settings” are found. But there is a problem: when trying to install through this element, the program transfers it to the Windows network configuration. You can specify an IP address and a port there, but other browsers will also start running through a proxy. That is, a global system reconfiguration is performed to a proxy server.
To avoid this problem and work with proxy only on Google Chrome, use the proxy SwitchyOmega extension, which gives the browser more features:

SwitchyOmega Proxy Settings
Installation
To install the extension: install link
Open a blank tab and click the “Applications” icon in the upper left corner. Alternatively, enter in the search box to enter the extension store.
Type the name of the extension in the search bar, hit enter. The SwitchyOmega application appears in the list. Click Install.

Immediately after installation, the extension will open and the configuration can begin. You can do this later by clicking on the ring icon next to the search bar and selecting options.
Configuration steps:
Create a new profile by clicking New Profile.
We invent a name, the default profile type is left as Proxy, click Create.
Then enter the profile configuration, where the protocol type must be entered-default is Direct, i. e. without a proxy.
After selecting the type, the fields are activated next door: enter the IP address in the Server field and the port number in the port field.
If you have a individual proxy with login and password, enter them by clicking on the lock icon.
Bypass list – this is where your favorite sites are written, on which the proxy will not work.
Click Apply changes, ready.
By the way, next to the profile name is a color Square, click on it to select the Profile color.
Now, to activate the profile, click on the ring in the search bar. If the extension’s off, it’ll be black. When selecting the desired profile, the ring will accept its color.
Advanced users will be interested in auto switch mode, where you can automate the change between multiple proxies according to the specified condition.
Disconnect
2 ways:
Click on the ring, there is an off Icon (system proxy). The ring will become black, the browser will start operating at the operating system configuration level. And if there’s a proxy written on them too, he’s the one doing it.
Click on the ring, the arrow icon (Direct), the ring will become Gray, the browser will start working directly, ignoring any proxy, even the system.
Removal
To completely remove the extension, go to the browser settings, then Additional Tools-Extensions. Search the proxy SwitchyOmega list and click Delete.
Now you are able to customize the extension for a convenient operation. Finally, we recommend the use of individual proxies. No one uses them except you, so there won’t be an unexpected Ban or a cessation of their work.
