Pokémon Go – Go Beyond Update and Gen 6 teaser
Each generation of Pokémon has several creatures you can only find in specific regions. These can be specific countries (such as the USA’s Tauros), entire continents (Europe’s Mr. Mime), certain regions (Corsola in the Tropics) and even ‘halves’ of the planet (such as Lunatone and Solrock).
These creatures are fairly common spawns in these regions, so if you are visiting for a short period, it won’t take long to find them.
Regionals can be found spawning in the wild – so don’t expect them in gyms or in nests. From September 2019, regionals have also been made available in Eggs – but only from their respective regions. This is also the only way to get Mime Jr., the Gen 4 pre-evolution to Gen 1’s regional exclusive Mr Mime.
If you don’t travel, then don’t fret. Gen 3 has shown these creatures can swap round occasionally (such as Zangoose and Seviper) or drop regional exclusivity altogether (Plusle and Minun) and as mentioned above, shift temporarily for special events, such as Farfetch’d during Pokémon Go’s 2017 Travel Challenge.

Change location in Pokemon Go - VPN GPS Spoofing Hack!

Change location in Pokemon Go – VPN GPS Spoofing Hack!

If you live outside a city center you may struggle to find Pokemon, Pokestops and gyms. Find out how to change your location on Pokemon Go with this quick GPS hack.
@pabischoff UPDATED: January 4, 2021
Update 2021: Due to the ongoing pandemic Niantic has made it easier to play Pokemon Go from home by offering a range of incentives. You can use these alongside our Pokemon Go GPS spoofing hack to continue playing even when stuck at home.
Pokemon Go is now worldwide, but that doesn’t mean everyone has equal access to Pokemon. Those who live in big cities will find far more Pokemon, Pokestops, and gyms in their area than those who live in the suburbs and rural areas. Urban residents have a huge advantage over everyone else who plays the game, while people living out in the country are stuck in deserted lands with nary a Pidgey in sight.
So let’s even the playing field a bit, shall we?
By using mock location apps, you can trick the app into thinking you are somewhere you’re not. This GPS hack for Pokemon Go means you can hunt and battle in New York City’s Central Park, for example, from anywhere in the world.
Pokemon Go VPN cheat using a GPS Hack
If you’re dead set on playing Pokemon Go but live in a barren region, you will need three things: a GPS spoofing app, a mock locations masking module, and a VPN. These tools allow you to change your location on the map in Pokemon to anywhere you like. We recommend placing yourself in a big city like New York or Chicago, where Pokemon are most prevalent.
GPS spoofing on Android is fairly easy with an app like this one. Go to Settings > About Device and tap the Build Number seven times to enable developer mode. Back in the settings, you now have a new tab called Developer Options. Click into it and check the box that says “Select mock location app” (on older versions, this will be “Allow mock locations”).
Pokemon Go got wise to mock location apps early on, so you will not be able to play and might even get banned if caught using one. For this reason, you’ll also need to install a module called “Mock Mock Locations. ” This simple add-on prevents apps from detecting that you have mock locations enabled in your settings. You can download the module APK from the Xposed repo here. It installs just like a third-party application.
Now for the VPN. Pokemon Go can detect if your device IP address does not match your GPS location. This is where the VPN comes in. A VPN encrypts all your internet traffic and routes it through a server in a location of your choosing, masking your IP address in the process. This hack works using NordVPN, Surfshark or IPVanish.
Tip: If you’re not sure which VPN to use, you can try a top VPN for free for 30 days with NordVPN’s money-back guarantee
Once you’ve signed up to a VPN, pick a server near where you want to hunt and connect to it.
IPVanish, Surfshark and NordVPN, have a ton of servers all over the world including dozens in the US alone.
Once that’s ready, open the spoofing app and set a location. With the VPN turned on, open Pokemon Go, and you should see some Pokemon around!
GPS spoofing on iOS is a bit tougher, and you’ll need to jailbreak your iPhone or iPad. Find, download, and install Protect My Privacy from Cydia, a mobile package manager for jailbroken iphones. In the app, go to Location and select Protect. Here you can use a map to drop a pin on your desired fake location. Once that’s done, connect to your VPN and open Pokemon Go to get started.
The downside of GPS spoofing is you can’t really walk around because the spoofing app holds you in place, so you’ll have to switch back to the GPS app to change your location and get near Pokemon. Pick a place with a lot of lures so that Pokemon will spawn on top of you without having to move.
Use a VPN to download Pokemon Go for Android on Google Play
If you’re traveling in a country where Pokemon Go hasn’t been released yet, follow these steps to get Pokemon Go from the American version of Google Play.
Here’s how to get Pokemon Go from anywhere:
Connect to a server in the US using a VPN app of your choice. We recommend NordVPN however, Surfshark and IPVanish are great alternatives.
Go into your phone settings, select Applications > Google Play Store > Storage
Tap CLEAR DATA and confirm
Open Google Play and accept the terms of service
Search for Pokemon Go, download, install, and enjoy!
Google Play will now be configured for the US store. Even if you turn off the VPN, you should still be able to access the American version, at least until you turn off your phone and turn it back on again.
Use a VPN to get Pokemon Go on iOS from the Apple App Store
If you’re traveling in a country where Pokemon Go hasn’t been released yet, follow these instructions to get Pokemon Go from the US App Store.
Here’s how to get Pokemon go on iPhone:
Connect to a server in the US using a VPN app of your choice
Go to Settings > iTunes & App Store
Tap the “View Apple ID” link
Click “Country/Region” > Change country or region”
Tap the United States and click Agree
When prompted for an address, simply use a random US address, such as a hotel or hostel
When prompted to input new payment information, tap “none” or enter an iTunes gift card code
Open the App Store, search for Pokemon Go
Download, install, and enjoy!
Pokemon Go Location Spoofing FAQs
Can I play Pokemon go without moving? You can use the GPS spoofing and VPN method above to play Pokemon Go wherever you like without physically moving or leaving your home.
Niantic has also made changes in light of the COVID-19 pandemic to make it easier to play from home. They’ve suspended the events that call for large gatherings of players and compensated by increasing the amount of Pokemon found in the wild, in addition to some other can I play Pokemon Go on a PC? You can play Pokemon Go on a PC using an Android emulator. Bluestacks is a popular choice, or you could try a developer option like Android Studio. You’ll need to take the same steps outlined above to spoof your GPS location and IP address. Can I use a free VPN to spoof my location on Pokemon Go? It’s possible, but free VPNs tend to lack the privacy and security standards of their paid counterparts. They often leak data that can reveal your true location, such as DNS requests and WebRTC connections. Free VPNs tend to have far fewer locations available as well, limiting the places you can hunt for Pokemon.
Be wary of free VPNs that track your online activity and sell the data to third parties. Some free VPNs are just honeypots with malware payloads, so be careful!

Pokémon Go: All the Regional Exclusives and where to find …

Source: iMore
From the very beginning, the goal of Pokémon Go has been to get you to get up and go. Around the neighborhood, sure, but also around the world. That’s where Regional Exclusive Pokémon come in. Since Gen I, Pokémon Go has kept a handful of Pokémon exclusive to some regions, and with each new generation, they’ve increased the number of Pokémon and places. Even when these Pokémon appear in Eggs, they can still only be found in their specific regions.
Here’s the updated list!
What are Regional Exclusive Pokémon in Pokémon Go?
Pokémon Go is all about getting up and going, both walking and traveling. To help promote the traveling part, Pokémon Go makes some Pokémon only available in certain regions of the world. Sometimes it’s a country or island, a subcontinent or continent or part thereof, or in one case, coastlines around the equator. Whatever the region is, you have to go there to find its exclusive Pokémon.
What are the current Regional Exclusive Pokémon in Pokémon Go?
As of October 2020, there are nearly 40 Pokémon that can only be caught or hatched in specific parts of the world. While these Pokémon each have designated regions where they can be caught or hatched, there is the occasional overlap, as well as parts of regions that fall outside of the spawn areas. For example, the souther tip of Florida and Texas won’t see the North American Regional Exclusive Tauros. Some Regional Exclusive Pokémon also swap regions periodically.
Farfetch’d* – East Asia
Kangaskhan – Oceania
Mr. Mime – Europe
Tauros – North America
Heracross – Central and South America
Corsola – Tropical areas along the equator
Illumise – Americas and Africa
Volbeat – Europe, Asia, Oceania

Seviper – Americas and Africa

Lunatone – Western Hemisphere
Relicanth – New Zealand and surrounding islands
Tropius – Africa and surrounding areas
Pachirisu – North-Arctic, including Canada, Russia, and Alaska
Shellos (Pink) – Western Hemisphere
Shellos (Blue) – Eastern Hemisphere
Mime Jr. – Europe (5 KM eggs)
Chatot – Southern Hemisphere
Carnivine – Southeastern USA
Uxie – Asia-Pacific
Mesprit – Europe, Middle East, India, and Africa
Azelf – Americas and Greenland
Pansage – Asia-Pacific
Pansear – Europe, Middle East, India, and Africa
Panpour – Americas, Greenland
Throh – Americas and Africa
Sawk – Europe, Asia, and Australia
Basculin (Red-Striped) – Eastern Hemisphere
Basculin (Blue-Striped) – Western Hemisphere
Maractus – Mexico, Central America, and South America
Sigilyph – Egypt and Greece
Bouffalant – New York and the surrounding areas
Heatmor – Western Hemisphere
Durant – Eastern Hemisphere
Note: Farfetch’d is a Regional Exclusive. However, it’s Galarian regional variant is not exclusive. You can catch and hatch Galarian Farfetch’d in any part of the world.
Bouffalant in Pokémon Go
Source: The Pokémon Company
The latest Regional Exclusive Pokémon to come to Pokémon Go is Bouffalant. Introduced during Unova Week Bouffalant was originally advertised as being available in New York City and the surrounding areas, because the Unova Region was loosely based on that area. However, players have reported Bouffalant sightings as far north as New Hampshire and as far south as Virginia. It would seem as though this bison-based Pokémon can be caught along the Mid-Atlantic and Northern coast of the United States.
Do Pokémon Go Regional Exclusives ever change region?
They do! There are currently a few pairs that have swapped regions since their introduction, such as Zangoose and Seviper. Likewise, there is a trio of Legendary Pokémon, Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf, who swapped regions, giving Trainers a few weeks to attempt to catch each of them.
Additionally, Pokemon Go occasionally holds events where certain regional Pokemon are temporarily available in other regions, if not globally. This has now happened multiple times for the first generation regionals: Mr. Mime, Kangaskhan, Farfetch’d, and Tauros.
Have any Pokémon ever stopped being Regional and gone worldwide?
Plusle and Minun started off separate, like Zangoose and Seviper, but now both spawn globally. Rumor has it; the Pokémon Company told Niantic the two best buddies shouldn’t be separated.
Do Regionals sometimes appear in other regions, like during events?
Yes. Sometimes Regional Exclusive Pokémon will be included in events. It’s almost always at real-world events like Go Fest Chicago, and sometimes during in-game events. Some examples include:
July 2018: Torkoal at Pokémon Go Fest in Chicago, U. S. A.
June 2018: Corsola at Pokémon Go Safari Zone in Dortmund, Germany
November 2017: Farfetch’d globally and Kangaskhan in parts of South East Asia.
November 2017: Mr. Mime at Safari Zone in Tottori, Japan.
August 2017: Mr. Mime at Pokémon Outbreak in Yokahama, Japan.
August 2017: Kangaskhan at Safari Zone Europe and Pokémon World Championships in Anaheim, California
July 2017: Heracross at Pokémon Go Fest in Chicago, U. A.
How do you catch Regionals in Pokémon Go?
You catch Regionals just like you catch any Pokémon in Pokémon Go but, if you have limited time or limited spawns, you’re going to want to maximize your chances.
ABC. Always be curving. Once you can nail Curve Ball every time, you’ll get a 1. 7x bonus every time.
Max out your medals. Some are easier to get than others, but they consume no resources like Great or Ultra Balls or Razz Berries, so once you get them, that 1. 1x to 1. 3x is automatically applied each time.
Consistency counts. Aim for the smallest target you can nail every time. If that’s Nice, it’s nice. If that’s Great or Excellent, even better. But better the bonus you get then one you miss, and that extra 1. 3 to 2x also doesn’t consume resources and can make a difference.
Razz for real. Use Razz Berries when you need to. Unlike Great or Ultra Balls, you can’t miss with a Razz Berry, and its 1. 5x bonus will last until you hit. For Golden Razz Berries, it’s 2. 5x!
Bump them Balls. Use Great and Ultra Balls to maximize your odds. You get an extra 1. 5x for a Great Ball and 2x for an Ultra Ball, so use them to get those super rare or hard to catch Pokémon.

Trading for Regionals in Pokémon Go
If you just cannot afford to travel the globe in search of regionals, it is possible to trade with a friend who has. Well, for a price. If the Regional is new to your Pokédex, it’ll be considered a Special trade and cost both you and the person you’re trading with a non-trivial amount of stardust. Here are the numbers:
Friend: No Special Trades
Good Friend: 20, 000 Stardust
Great Friend: 16, 000 Stardust
Ultra Friend: 1, 600
Best Friend: 800
There are restrictions on Trades based on Friendship level and location. This is, in part, to discourage people from selling Pokémon. While you can meet other players through Facebook, Discord, and Reddit, most players willing to trade Regional Exclusive Pokémon aren’t going to ask for money or anything offline in return. If they do, it’s probably a scam.
