Proxy Switcher & Manager extension - Opera add-ons

Proxy Switcher & Manager extension – Opera add-ons

Proxy Switcher allows you to modify your proxy settings easily from the toolbar panel. Toolbar icon indicates the current type of proxy your browser currently using. The UI for changing proxies is very intuitive. It is very close to the Firefox proxy manager window. The extension is designed such that no resource is used while the panel is closed. This is probably the lightest proxy switcher add-on in the market.
Proxy Switcher supports proxy changing for following modes:
1. No Proxy Mode: Your browser bypasses all system-wide level proxies and connects you directly to the internet. This is useful when there is a network issue caused by an external proxy tool 2. System Proxy Mode: Your browser uses whatever proxy your system is using. Sometimes you have an external software that manages your system-level proxy. Using this option allows the browser to follow the same proxy configuration. 3. Auto-detect Proxy Mode: Your browser automatically detects the proxy settings for your network 4. Manual Mode: You are going to explicitly define proxy server for each scheme. There are four schemes to consider: HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, and Other types of network requests. Using manual tab, you can specify different proxies for each scheme. 5. PAC Script Mode: This is the most powerful way to handle proxy settings of your browser. Basically by writing a PAC script (which is a JavaScript function) you can control routing based on host or url of the request. There is a pre-defined sample of PAC script in the PAC Script tab of the panel to help you start writing the code.
Using this extension there would be no need to digging through the advanced section of your browser anymore. All the settings are access from the toolbar panel. Besides, the toolbar icon is an indicator of the current proxy type. Hover mouse over the toolbar button to get more info.
Proxy Switcher extension is absolutely free and open source. It just does proxy configuration, and aims to be perfect tool of that.
As of version 0. 1. 2, the badge text displays the number of failed resources. Opening the panel, you can check these resources by pressing “Error Log” button. Using this new tool, you can modify your PAC script to support custom proxy setting for the failed resources.
——————CONFLICTS: Proxy Switcher add-on WILL conflict with other extensions trying to control the proxy settings. Such conflicts are caused by the design of the Chromium engine and thus cannot be avoided. ——————

Free VPN Proxy extension - Opera add-ons

Free VPN Proxy extension – Opera add-ons

Free VPN Proxy is a handy add-on that let you easily mask your real internet protocol (IP) address.
Simply click on the start button at the top left corner (big blue button). The addon will look for a free proxy (socks5 ip & port combination) via a free JavaScript API call. Currently it uses “getproxylist”, “gimmeproxy” and “pubproxy” APIs. Once a free proxy is returned it checks whether the new proxy is working or not. If the new socks5 proxy is working properly, it applies it to the browser proxy setting.
You can now browser under this socks5 proxy and mask your real ip address. Please note that, the API for searching proxies is free but only releases 20 results per day. Once the limit is over, the addon will only uses the proxies from its memory (previously saved ip and ports). In order to turn off the addon, please click on the top right button in the toolbar popup UI (grey icon).
Note: Free VPN Proxy add-on does NOT store your IP address or any other information in any remote location. However, third-party services (such as getproxylist, gimmeproxy, amazonaws, and ipleak) have their own policy and rules for storing IP addresses.
If you have a feature request, or found a bug to report, please fill the bug report form in the addon’s homepage ().

Proxy Finder (IP Switcher) extension - Opera add-ons

Proxy Finder (IP Switcher) extension – Opera add-ons

Proxy Finder (IP Switcher) is an Opera extension which automatically switches an Internet connection across one or more proxy servers. Put simply, Proxy Finder automates the manual process of editing Opera’s Proxy Settings dialog. Proxy server switching occurs based on the Manual or Automatic mode you define.
In the manual mode (default) you need to choose a protocol (,, socks4, or socks5) and enter a desired IP and Port, then press ON/OFF button to start the proxy. For the automatic mode, the extension uses its online server to search for a working proxy based on the protocol(s) and origin you have chosen.
Moreover, animated icons show you when a proxy is in use. Advanced logging shows you which proxies were used. If you have any question or concern, feel free to contact me via the following address: philip[dot]tholus[at]
