Which is the cheapest Japanese proxy buying service? – Reddit
I’m looking for a proxy service which can buy and combine items from multiple online stores for the least price. It’s mostly anime (data) booklets, DVDs and drama CDs that I’ll be buying. One of the items has to be Japan seems like a good option, from what I can make out from their website 300 Yen is the least charge and they don’t charge for combining items apparently but I’m not sure if they charge 300 Yen per item or per store or for the entire order, if anyone can confirm. They also seem to have some bad reviews about blocking accounts, canceling orders and not refunding or banning the Japan seems like another good option, I’ll have to go with the 300 Yen plan + 100 Yen per item for combining. Or is it 300 Yen per item/store? I hope ‘s also Buy Smart Japan, I’ve used it once it the past but the only drawback is that they overestimate the international shipping fee which has to be payed at the time of the order, and according to their website they don’t refund unless the difference is greater than 3000 Yen. There’s also nothing mentioned about combining items so I wonder if they provide that and Zen seem a bit on the expensive side, so I’d rather not use anyone used any of these (or some other) services? What was your experience with them?

I’ve used neokyo pretty much for mainly clothes so my shipments always weighed a little bit. There is a lot of things I don’t like and my most recent experience is the last straw. First off they take your money right away but take like a day sometimes to buy the item from the seller. So I’ve had quite a bit of times where someone else purchased the item before neokyo did and I had to go through the process of being refunded. Secondly the more your package weighs the less the amount per pound will be. So something as small as 1 pound can be like $20-$30 in shipping alone. Thats not including their fees for packaging and shipping it. It took a few shipments for me to figure that out. But the thing that irritated me the most is that if something goes wrong with your order they won’t refund you or help you get a refund. Instead they will just suspend your account if you try to do a PayPal dispute. The package I just received had about 20 different orders in it but there was 1 in particular that was beyond disgusting. There was a huge brown stain on the garment and also in the pocket if one side was a feminine pad that had human feces on it. I have ocd and that was such a horrible experience for me!! I have no idea what sick person would do something like that(Especially when I had no interaction with the seller because you can’t message them) but neokyo basically said f*** you, remember we don’t give refunds in any circumstance. So I’m left having to do a PayPal dispute because I’m not paying for an expensive item that arrived in a disgusting condition thats beyond gross. And I know neokyo would have seen the condition of the item because they literally repackage every single item you order and put a little sticker on the outside with your name on it. So if you’re reading this I would highly highly recommend you use another proxy service if you’re wanting to buy from Japan. I guarantee you neokyo will not help you if something happens and youre left paying for an expensive order with expensive international shipping and fees. So basically you’re gambling with every single thing you order with them and they also won’t refund you if a seller scams you. I’ve heard of that happening to some people getting trading cards. It’s up to you if you want to take the risk but I seriously recommend another service even if they cost a little more but can guarantee to help *after they replied on here they literally sent an email saying my storage volume is exceeded for literally 4 items that I purchased a week or so before this. Mind you I’ve had 23 items shipped to me before and the weight was over 20 pounds. They said because of that I can’t purchase anything else but literally that’s just an excuse. And why would I want to purchase from them again?? I don’t and will never! They said they might have helped had I been more respectful like seriously!? Thats a flat out lie because they literally said they would not help me. What is considered respectful to these people?? Any business should not treat their customers like this!!! They are just mad I’m filing a dispute(not 4 times the amount, I only disputed the order on PayPal so I have no idea where they are getting 4 times the order when I just filed a claim to get the refund that is owed to me). They aren’t “sorry” for what happened and their reply to my review is amusing. Everything they said is literally a lie! Also like I said they just reiterate that if anything goes wrong with an order they won’t refund you because it’s part of their “policy”. They also lied about refunding me the service fee. How would $2 justify anything anyway!? They never sent a refund at all and I can’t dispute the shipping charges either because that’s a whole different PayPal transaction. So either way I’m going to be out of money on this. Which is over $100. And If I could upload screenshots of the horrible things they said I would! Just please stay away from this business! They are complete trash and I wish I realized sooner! Update 2 09/20/21*I got an email that neokyo flagged my review as a non genuine experience which is honestly sad. I had to provide proof to trustpilot that my experience was real(which I don’t mind) but it’s just crazy that they are going to this extent because they don’t want people to see how they really are. Please avoid this business at all costs!

Used this proxy to buy a second hand…
Used this proxy to buy a second hand figure from Mercari. The figure was without box so I was a bit worried that it may get damaged during their repacking process and even more worried when the package arrived with a huge dent (courtesy of the shipping company, not Neokyo). Thankfully the Neokyo staff packaged the figure really well with bubble wrap and it came completely safe. I’ve used them for figures twice now. You can trust them with your collectables

This site is great. Love that it updates constantly unlike other Japanese proxy services. Although, I dislike the processing process. It takes quite a while for them to process the purchase, so in that time anyone else can buy it and they’ll have to cancel your order. Two items I extremely wanted and were cheap got away for that reason… The refund is quick, but it doesn’t go to your back account it stays in your neokyo wallet, in which I don’t mind because I know I’ll be purchasing later on.
My go-to proxy!
I’ve purchased items using Neokyo’s service for the fifth time now and each and every time my experience has been exceptional. They are my go-to proxy for a number of reasons. Most importantly, they’re very transparent. I love the fact that they have a Discord to provide support. Plus, you can discuss/chat with others who use Neokyo, which can be helpful. They also package items really well. I’ve never had an issue in this regard. Overall, the process for purchasing items is intuitive and clear. The interface itself is user friendly, which is another reason I’ve stuck with them. Of course, like any proxy, there are fees that will add up. But, if you’re looking for a rare item or items in bulk I feel that it’s worth it. Plus, I find the fees reasonable. Especially given all the other perks with regard to communication, quick response, and packaging. Putting in requests for purchase and transactions have always been quick on their end. I’m extremely satisfied with this service and will happily continue to use this proxy in the future.

This was my first time using Neokyo and their service was excellent. I ordered a couple of items from Mercari, and Neokyo promptly bought all of them. They are fast and responsive when putting in a request (whether its packaging/shipping/buying) The packaging itself was really good, solid and appropriately sized box and the items were taped to ensure they wouldn't shift around during shipping. Shipping cost was about what I would expect (somewhat expensive) since shipping options are limited to the express services right have a discord for questions and it also contains a lot of helpful information as well.

Quick and Easy Shipping from Japan!
I found neokyo after doing some research among the different options of proxies for Japan and asking around. Thus, I decided to give it a of the most useful features that they have is buying from mercari, which I've seen some other proxiers offer but they add an additional charge as it is quite a hassle to deal terms of charges, they charge by weight for packaging and their per item fee is quite ternational shipping was relatively fast, I havent tried EMS or any other express mail couriers such as Fedex but shipping via airmail was fast as well (within 2 weeks). Packaging was well done as well. Since I live relatively close to Japan, shipping wasn't too much of an issue for pport via Discord have been helpful in answering my questions and there is a FAQ in one of the are somethings I would personally like, such as being able to ask for price discount or questions on mercari, but unable to do so. Would be really nice if I could leave a request in, pay for the full amount and then be refunded if the price discount is allowed. Overall Experience has been you, neokyo!
Neokyo was a great way to get items…
Neokyo was a great way to get items from Mercari Japan. The fees and shipping were cheaper than other proxy services. Great communication and updates on my orders. The items came packaged well and quickly.
Was wary at first but turned out great
So I heard about Neokyo from instagram. I was looking through kpop photocard hashtags and I came across a post that mentioned ordering a set of photocards from there and I got curious so I went to neokyo myself, signed up, and oh my gosh.. I saw so many kpop photocards for sale that I would have never (or at least rarely seen) like on places (insta, fb, twitter) I ordered 4 cards, 1 from 4 different sellers and It went great. It's a very simple process to follow and if anything ever goes wrong with a purchase you made they give you whatever you spent in yen to spend on their website which is pretty cool. I believe i only started purchasing cards from neokyo for like two months and all of my purchases except 1 went completely smoothly. It was fast shipping (a little on the expensive side, $20+) but to me it's well worth it especially if it's a rare item... Anyway, my experience has been pleasant so I wanted to leave my 5 star review here and calm anyone's mind who is possibly hesitant to use the service. Thanks so much again neokyo!

I am pretty recent to the j-fashion scene and have used 3 different services to purchase clothes (buyee, fromjapan and neokyo) and can by far say neokyo is the best. Not only is neokyo the cheapest, with only a 250 yen fee, and the CHEAPEST shipping, that are also very fast and secure even in uncertain times. I haven’t had any issues at all, even when someone purchased something from mercari before neokyo could, I was fully refunded including paypal fees. I’ve bought many many items and the packaging is always secure and safe. Even compared to fromjapan which is relatively cheap, Neokyo is far example, I am from Australia, a buyee package weighing 480g cost 40$ shipping, a fromjapan package weighing 1kg cost 130$ shipping, and a neokyo package weighing 4. 4kg shipping was only 130$. Also very fast, I got the items about a week after paying fedex priority, which is especially good considering my country is particularly slow. I will only be going to neokyo from now on, but my critiques are as following:1. Doesn’t show AUD on site. This isn’t a particularly big problem but when I am purchasing items it would be slightly convenient for the site to display the costs in AUD rather than USD so I am certain and don’t have to use google conversion. So it would be nice for AUD to be a currency display option. 2. Doesn’t accept FRIL orders. Not sure why this is, they just don’t. This is the only reason which I would use fromjapan again. Would be great if they could accept FRIL other problems. They allow items to be in storage for free for a considerably longer time than any shopping services at 45 days rather than 30. Super fast in everything. Very happy and could not recommend more.

The best way to get rare or limited kpop photocards that I was unable to get in US marketplaces. If you understand and are patient with the process then this service is very rewarding. Items came packaged securely and quickly. I'm about to buy even more kpop goods through Neokyo!!! Amazing service!!!!
Quick and Easy Proxy Service
This was my first time using them but I was amazed at how quick and efficient they were. Anything I purchased from one of the websites was purchased by Neokyo that day(unless it was from Yahoo Auctions which I understood why), and sometimes the shipping to their warehousr would even be quick. Any parcel that was going to finally be shipped out to me took 1-2 days to ship out which is pretty good. Packaging was perfect and the figures I ordered using them came undamaged. Overall I would use them again and recommend:)
