Overview
Free IP Switcher is a very useful utility when you change your
network settings under different locations. It switches between
preconfigured network settings with a single click and without
any reboot. With Free IP Switcher you can automatically change
all network settings on your pc: IP address, network masks,
default gateway, dns server, wins server, proxy settings,
default printer and more.
Quick Start Guide
Step 1: Run the program
Follow Start > All Programs > Free IP Switcher > Free IP
Switcher.
Or just double click the Free IP Switcher icon
on your Desktop.
Step 2: Select a profile and edit
Below at the picture there is the main program interface.
Here you can switch the page to select a profile.
Select an available network adapter and then set IP Address,
Subnet Mask, Default Gateway, Preferred and Alternate DNS. Or
use Obtain an IP address automatically (DHCP) and obtain DNS
server automatically, if this feature is supported by your
network.
A network
settings includes:
IP Address,
Subnet Mask,
Default Gateway,
DNS Server,
WINS Server,
Computer Name,
DNS Domain,
Workgroup,
Default Printer,
Network-Domain,
Proxy Settings etc.
Note: Different network adapters may have different network
settings.
Step 3: Activate Settings
You
can apply all settings of the current profile by clicking
‘Activate’ button at any time. Notice that only settings with a
checked checkbox will be activated.
A new small window will pop up. It contains information about
the current activation state.
There you can see which settings are applied at the moment and
whether it was successful or not.
After activation finished, those settings will be changed to the
values saved here.
Interface
The tabs stand for
the different profiles. You can save 5 different sets of
settings in those tabs. You also can add or remove the tabs. You
can rename a profile by right clicking it and choosing “Rename”.
Activate: To apply all settings of the
current profile you have to click on “Activate”. Notice that
only settings with a checked checkbox will be activated.
Load Current: To load the current IP or
DNS and other settings from the chosen connection.
Add New Set: Add a new tab for the new settings.
Delete Current Set: Delete the current
tab and all the settings on this tab will also lost.
Rename: You can rename a profile by right clicking it and
choosing “Rename”.
Settings: Open the options dialog to set.

separate file (), so a backup, transfer or upgrade to
another version is absolutely no problem. You also can copy it
to another computer and get the same settings.
Command line options:
“/set1”
will run the software and switch to the first page settings. You
also can use the caption of the page such as “/Home”.
